Miles Davis at the Cite de la Musique in Paris
Hugely popular in jazz music, a genius, a legend, the press has often used these superlatives to describe the enormous talent of Miles Davis. The Cité de la Musique devotes a superb retrospective until January 2010. Program: film clips, music and original pressings of his major albums and many other surprises. The unique opportunity to rediscover the works of the most vibrant religions of trumpeter genius.
Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 6pm. Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Late opening on Friday until 10pm. Open until 8pm exceptional evening concert cycles « We Want Miles ».

M at La Cigale
M whose real name is Matthieu Chedid will be at La Cigale from December 8 to 12. Son of singer Louis Chedid, M has managed to impose his thin voice in French music industry. Rocker and poet, he always seems to be balancing on a wire in a world with rhymes and his melancholy sensibility. After collaborating with the biggest names including Vanessa Paradis with whom he is very friendly, M is needed on the French music scene as a complete artist, wielding words as well as musical notes. A complete artist to discover this month.

Joe Bonamassa à l’Olympia en novembre 2009
Spiritual son of Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa is a marvel of American blues-rock. Guitarist from the age of 4 years-old, he will be, at the age of 11 years-old, the first part of BB King. Gifted, he traces his ways without shade to release in 2000, his first solo album entitled “A New Day Yesterday”. On Monday, November 23rd, 2009 at 8pm, he will present to the Parisian public his latest album released this year: “The Ballad of John Henry” for which he wrote seven titles and five covers. A unique concert not to be missed for any lover of rock and blues!

Stereophonics in Paris
The famous British rock band Stereophonics returns to the front of the stage with a unique concert in Paris in February 2010! Led since 1996 by Kelly Jones (vocals, guitar and lyrics), the band is consisted of 3 other musicians: Richard Jones (bass), Javier Weyler (drums) and Adam Zindani (guitar). Originally from Wales, the members of the group have yet been widely influenced by AC/DC, legendary Australian band, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, from San Francisco. Their concert at the Olympia on Thursday, February 4th, 2010 will be an opportunity to discover their new album “Keep Calm and Carry On”, released on November 30th.
